As trends come and go, skulls are a heavily recurring theme. Not so difficult to understand as it is the container of our brains, hidden behind some soft tissue, and that appears nude on a long dead person… Also, they carry the life and death theme – morbid to most, but fascinating yet. And so it is for Zako and her inner life wanderings.
Materials and Voodoo Representation
The Voodoo Skull does not feel human, could easily be an ape. But in Voodoo, you never know, some “head shrinking” might have happened here. Made of wire and embroidered flowers and patterns.
